Excellent Job Opportunity

Northway Bank, the largest independent community commercial bank in New Hampshire is looking for an exceptional candidate for the following Career opportunity:

Retail Loan Underwriter
N. Conway - Full time

This position requires experience underwriting various loan types for sale to Secondary Market Investors such as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) and New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority (NHHFA).   Detailed knowledge of secondary market mortgage loan underwriting guidelines, including various mortgage insurance company approval criteria (i.e. MGIC, Genworth and Rural Development, FHA/VA). Organizational, behavioral, technical, mechanical and analytical skills are necessary to perform required duties.  Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.

Mortgage Loan Originator (Concord and Nashua)

Job Description

 

Originate mortgage loans by arranging interviews and gathering necessary information at times and places convenient for customers. Two positions – Concord, NH and Nashua, NH. Salary plus commission.

Job Requirements

Knowledge of underwriting guidelines of FHA, VA, FNMA and FHLMC.  Knowledge of Reg Z, ECOA, insured loans through private mortgage insurance companies.  General knowledge of NH Real Estate law.  Excellent people skills; self motivated person who can work independently and set own schedule; computer skills.

Benefits

Benefits begin first of month following date of hire. Cafeteria style package offered. Pension Plan and 401(K) Plan. Ten holidays per year.
