New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority is a nonprofit public benefit corporation established by the state legislature. The Authority operates a broad range of programs designed to assist low- and moderate-income persons and families to obtain decent, safe and affordable housing. We also collect data and information that allows us to determine the housing needs within the state. Our Home Ownership Division manages a variety of mortgage financing programs to assist primarily first-time buyers attain the dream of home ownership. It provides financing at below market rates and offers cash grants for down payment and closing costs. Recognizing the importance of both pre-and post-purchase education to a successful home ownership experience, the Division also administers housing counseling programs.
