1 Hour SAFE CE Elective: Basics of Residentail Title Insurance

This course will provide the loan officer or processor with a basic understanding of owner and lender title insurance.  This knowledge will enable the mortgage professional to assist a borrower with questions relative to who they should speak with to obtain a complete understanding of the title insurance products that are available.  Examples of actual claims are covered to help the mortgage professional better understand the process when a claim is submitted, the difference between policy types and the types of issues that are covered.  The course explains how title insurance premium quotes have been impacted by recent amendments to RESPA regulations.  Liability issues resulting from a non-title agent making recommendations and discussing title insurance product lines is also covered.
